Wearing an orthosis (brace) can often be challenging, unfamiliar and overwhelming. Our clinically trained, certified practitioners offer innovative orthotic designs that address a full spectrum of clinical pathologies associated with biomechanical deficiencies such as muscle weakness, paralysis, joint and spine deformities, or ligament injuries and fractures.

All of our orthoses are designed and modified to meet each patient’s unique needs. Our practitioners treat many conditions resulting from acute injuries, surgeries, disease, degenerative condition, diabetes, chronic neuro-muscular or musculoskeletal disorders. Oakland will work patiently and professionally with you, your family, and all other healthcare providers to achieve an optimal fit, function and aesthetically pleasing orthosis.

FUNCTIONAL ELECTRICAL STIMULATION

Bioness and Walk Aide systems are advanced medical devices that have the ability to provide immediate and dramatics improvement in ambulation for certain individuals with foot drop. Common pathologies that may benefit from these devices include, but are not limited to: CVAs (stroke), incomplete spinal cord injuries, TBIs (traumatic brain injuries), cerebral palsy, and multiple sclerosis.
